A playing card is examined and if desired signed both front and back. A match is now "energized" and placed on the back of the playing card. After a few moments of intense concentration, the match slowly rises off the back of the card and floats in mid air. The spectator may remove the match from the floating position and examine this and the card.
The effect can be repeated and a finger ring passed over the floating match to rule out any attachments. Complete with Ben's original detailed instructions which include 23 photographs. Doug Henning said, "I really love Cosmosis, The Original Floating Match. The match really seems to float off the card, three or four times higher than cheap copies.
