Many mentalists use feats of metal bending as a centerpiece to their act. Here is a very nice twist on the theme of transforming a key.
Good for the mentalist or close up performer. You begin with a beautiful brass "skeleton" key, the type used in old locks. You hold the key between the fingers of one hand and grasp the end of the key with the fingers of the other hand. With a gentle touch you simply caress the "teeth" of the key and when the fingers come away the "teeth" have moved impossibly to another part of the key. Once again to simply stroke the key and this time the end of the key seems to have moved clear up to the "handle" end of the key!!!
Now simply hand the key to a spectator and let them look at it all you want! There is nothing to see but the impossibly changed key!
