As an XCMer, or Xtreme Card Manipulator, I have great concern on the condition of my cards. Anyone locally will observe me with no less than 6 decks, variously tuned or being tuned. I abhor grease, oil, or residue from lotion, soap, or any other source that would change the surface of the card, and possibly destroy a perfect fanning deck.

Not only does this product do as advertised, but it seems to have no noticeable residue or transfer to cards. You'll notice an IMMEDIATE difference, especially if you apply to your entire palm, as parts of your hand which previously could not affect the cards, especially in a card fan, contact the cards and change. It took a little getting used to, but I never slipped on gripping single cards or multiples. Even gliding using a heavily fanning-powdered deck, which is normally sticky, was no issue.

This is a shoe-in for the "static card" trick, as well.


Lastly, please do not ignore this if you do not use cards. Labeling this a "card users" product does not do it justice. I've used it for juggling, contact juggling, Chinese Therapy balls, sports, and home crafting. It will increase your hands ability to grip.


It's single drawback is a "natural" smell, which can be described as heavy pottery clay meets vegetable oil. It's not offensive, but it has no odor enhancers either, and you may not wish to use it near someone elses face. Personally I did not find this an off-putting factor, but one should be aware of it
