3 Card Nightmare

Three cards are shown and placed on the table. The cards form a picture of a short, med, and long piece of rope. When the cards are picked back up and replaced on the table the ropes are all seen to be equal.

The final time that the cards are replaced on the table there is just one long rope as shown above.
